The MERLIN MAGIX 4400-Series offers four models with LCD displays and one model (the 4424LD+) with a 7-line by 24-character Fluorescent Display provides improved visibility and a In addition to showing the time and date, the 4412D+, 4424D+, and 4424LD+ display models allow users to access an alarm clock and timer, your business telephone directory, message center, and line/feature selection and programming menus.

Menu, Exit, < , and  > buttons allow you to browse the feature menu and navigate between different screens, where you can program the phone, view messages, and select features available from the display via softkey operation. You can also program unassigned line buttons for easy access to system features such as auto dial.

In addition to showing the number you are dialing, the 4400-Series phones can display caller information for incoming calls —the name and/ or number of external callers as well as the extension and co-worker name for internal calls that you receive.

With a choice of optional voice mail applications available to help increase your business productivity and efficiency including Callware Technologies Callegra Unified Messaging™ and Key Voice iNTerchange® systems, all the MERLIN MAGIX 4400-Series telephones include a Message Waiting Light, to alert users when a new message arrives in their voice mailboxes. The 4424D+ and 4424LD+ models include a built-in DSS interface, which allows you to integrate a 50-button Direct Station Selector (DSS) console to expand the capabilities of these telephones for use by an attendant or operator. In addition, a dedicated headset jack available on most models helps improve employee efficiency and performance by enhancing telephone operation with optional headsets.
