PARTNER® ACS R5
incorporates advancements found
typically in the larger systems. As with the other Partner systems the "brain"
of the Partner ACS is a compact processor module. However, the difference in the new ACS
model is that it incorporates the support of 3 lines and 8 stations directly on the
processor module. This provides more efficiency in the use of cabinet space.
The Partner ACS processor module can stand alone as a 3x8 phone system or be used with a
two-slot or five-slot carrier. As evident with the Partner Plus and Partner II systems,
the ACS system can then be expanded with additional line or line/station combination
modules.
Besides the capability of supporting the lines and stations directly on the processor
module, the ACS system offers to significant distinctions above the Partner Plus system.
The ACS system is designed with PCMCIA PC technology for easy software upgrades. When
enhancements are developed a new PCMCIA card can be purchased and inserted into the
processor module. This technology will simplify upgrades and protect your equipment
investment.
The ACS system also supports the same Caller ID capability that heretofore was only found
in the Partner II system. This now allows smaller companies to take advantage of the
advanced technologies of immediate customer identification by using the Partner display
sets or Avaya's PassageWay software and a desktop PC.
The Partner ACS system also provides excellent integration with several voice messaging
systems including the new Release 8.3 Verbatim Corporate Office and Small Office from Key
Voice Technologies as well as the Callegra 5.51Unified Messaging Platform from CallWare
Technologies.
As with all of the Partner product-line,
the same Partner Telephone Set options exist. These sets are designed to aid your staff
with more efficient access to the Partner features. The ACS systems also allow the use of
standard analog devices such as FAX machines, modems, cordless sets, and standard analog
phones directly on the standard Partner station module ports.
The Partner ACS system is obviously a
terrific addition to the Partner line of products and its enhancements will likely make it
the leader in the industry for the small business user.
